On Sunday, 22nd February, Sun and Shield School witnessed a powerful and unforgettable move of God during its highly anticipated Worship Sunday. The school community, comprising learners, teachers, parents, and invited guests, gathered to experience a divine encounter led by renowned gospel minister Dr. Reuben Kigame and the anointed worship team, Sifa Voices. The atmosphere was charged with reverence, joy, and heartfelt praise.
From the opening notes of worship, it was evident that this was a sacred and transformative moment. Sifa Voices ministered with stirring harmonies that guided participants into deep, meaningful worship. Their songs encouraged reflection, renewal, and gratitude, demonstrating that worship extends beyond music. It is an act of surrender and communion with God. The presence of the Lord was palpable, as hands were lifted and hearts were moved, creating a memorable spiritual experience for all.

Dr. Kigame delivered a profound message, calling learners and adults alike to embrace their identity and purpose in Christ. He emphasized the importance of living boldly and unapologetically for God, building a strong spiritual foundation, upholding integrity, and using one’s gifts for divine glory. The message resonated deeply, inspiring attendees to shine as lights in their communities and pursue excellence anchored in faith.
Worship Sunday was further elevated by the presence of distinguished guests. Among those in attendance were Prof. Henry Kiplagat, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Prof. Glady Kiptiony, Director; Professor Oluyemisi Adefunke Bamgbose, SAN, a visiting Law Professor from University of Ibadan, Nigeria; two Nigerian Law students currently studying at Kabarak University; the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher; school chaplains; dedicated teachers; and supportive parents. Their presence highlighted the strong collaboration between leadership, educators, parents, and the broader academic community in nurturing the school’s learners spiritually and academically.

At Sun and Shield School, education is seen as holistic, shaping the mind, nurturing the heart, and strengthening the spirit. Worship Sunday was a vivid reminder that when God is placed at the center of learning, excellence becomes both the standard and the purpose. The day was more than an event. It was a divine visitation that strengthened faith, touched hearts, and renewed vision.
As the echoes of praise continue to inspire the school community, gratitude remains for the ministry of Dr. Reuben Kigame, the anointed worship of Sifa Voices, and the supportive presence of every guest. The seeds sown on Worship Sunday are expected to bear fruit in the lives of learners, guiding them to excel academically, stand firm spiritually, and walk boldly in purpose.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” On 22nd February, Sun and Shield School did exactly that, and heaven rejoiced.
